Renewable Energy and Power Systems
Renewable energy (RE) resources for the generation of energy exist in all geographic areas and are naturally replenished as the sun rise everyday. Deployment of RE with energy Efficient measures is resulting in decrease use of fossil fuels and less greenhouse gases emission into the atmosphere, creating universal energy security and mitigation for climate change. The economic effect is sustainable development.
RCI as an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) firm for RE Technologies (Solar PV, Wind, Small Hydro and Biomass) and IT and Telecommunications, Smart Grid implementation is a core competence. RCI in collaboration with its strategic alliances, and consultation with institutions such as Caribbean Renewable Forum (CREF), National Renewable energy Laboratory (NREL), New York State Energy Research and Development Agency (NYSERDA) and International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is embarking on a major development effort for Africa and the Caribbean. The rapid deployment of Solar PV, wind turbine and small hydro in addition with the effort by all countries to implement Kyoto have made the RE industrial sector a major growth area for future development. Renewable energy technologies are getting cheaper and are also the most economic solution for new grid-connected capacity. Distributed generation of Renewable technologies with storage is now often the most economic solution for new generating capacity.
RCI’s Corporate Social Responsibility has motivated the company to develop a keen interest in global warming and methods to reduce global carbon footprints and greenhouse gas emissions.
As a result, RCI has developed and acquired the capability to design energy policies and regulatory frameworks for the energy sector and to undertake energy audits. In addition, we specialize in the deployment of renewable energy systems including photovoltaic (solar), wind turbines and other solutions. RCI works with its engineering and environmental associates to provide both grid-tied and off-grid solar systems for residential and commercial use. We educate and encourage our clients to use renewable energy sources wherever possible.
In addition to RCI’s in house experts and engineers who plan and design PV solar systems, we have developed strategic alliances with other renewable energy companies with considerable expertise and experience in the deployment of over 2000 MW renewable energy systems. RCI has also developed partnerships with major distributors of renewable components for wind, solar, bio and land fill systems.
